All People Access Community Services, also known as APAC, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing training, education and general assistance to multicultural adults with developmental disabilities. The organization specializes in providing programs and services in several languages, such as Arabic, Armenian, Cantonese, German, Hebrew, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish and Taiwanese, as well as American Sign Language. Its New Opportunity for Vocational Advancement (NOVA) program offers classes in English, communication, reading, writing, budgeting, shopping, health, cooking, landscaping, and arts and crafts. The organization s independent living skills program provides training to individuals to live independently of parents and care providers. Founded in 1982, All People Access Community Services is located in Van Nuys, Calif.
