      They are the most wonderful hardware around and I love the people there. Other stores should follow their footsteps in service and being so customer friendly and helpful.

      I relocated to California about 11 years ago, but still remember what a great hardware stor Phillips' Ace hardware in Valpo is. Always had the most knowledgeable staff anf the owners were the nicest people----true customer service-oriented and friendly. I walked in there one Sunday night, not noticing the lights were dimmed----they were actually closed----I apologized and started to leave, but the owner (did nbot know him) stopped and offered help and spent over an hour helping me find the plumbing parts I so desparately needed. Best hardware anywhere !
