I have been going to Brown Tire in Valpo for a lotof years. Never had a problem. Good and fast and courteous service. Not cheap but good

Went to have a L rear rim/ tire replaced due to hitting something in the road (which I explained to their "technician"). After they installed the new rim/tire the car had an obvious shimmy (including the steering wheel) - despite having a 4 wheel alignment. Total cost $379.00. I then took the car to another mechanic who discovered the front L tire rim was bent as well - causing the shimmy and he said there was no way an alignment could have been done with that rim as bent as it was AND he had to use a blow-torch to loosen up the rods to do the alignment. BEWARE of Brown's impressive "computer print-out" alignment paper that shows how much changed because of their alignment. Also, they "pride" themselves on not being "mechanics" but "technicians." Well, give me an old fashioned "mechanic" who can tell a bent rim on a tire when he has it up on a jack and who will test drive the vehicle afterwards to make sure he/ she did a good job for the customer.
