- Family PracticeDr. Ken Blumenthal has been practicing medicine in Northwest Indiana since 1979. He completed his undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also completed his post-graduate training. He is board certified in Family Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the American Osteopathic College of Allergy and Asthma. He is a past president of the Porter County Medical Society and has received the President's Award of the American Lung Association of Indiana. Dr. Blumenthal lives with his wife Jeanne, an attorney, and has two children-Robert and David. He is the Medical Director of Camp SuperKids which is an asthma camp for children with asthma sponsored by the American Lung Association of Indiana. Dr. Blumenthal holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do and is an avid golfer, photographer, and bronze sculptor.
- Internal MedicineDr. Lauren Rigg grew up in Northwest Indiana. She attended Lake Central High School where she was an avid soccer player. She then completed her bachelor's degree from Purdue University and earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Ohio. She then went on to complete her specialty fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Rigg is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) and the American Academy of Allergy and Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI). Dr. Rigg lives with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys being outside, spending time with her family, and reading fiction. Books that she loves to read again include Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes.
- OtolaryngologyMichael Keenan began practicing otolaryngology in Northwest Indiana in 1997 caring for both adults and children. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California where he was a member of the marching band. He earned his medical degree from St. Lois University and completed his otolaryngology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a board certi$ed otolaryngologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He served as the president of the Porter County Medical Society as well as trustee on the board of the Indiana State Medical Association. Dr. Keenan lives with is wife, Michelle, who is a school nurse at Memorial Elementary School in Valparaiso. They have three children, Jacqueline, Val, and Joe the elder of whom, whom they enjoy visiting in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Grand Rapids, Michigan
- EczemaSince 2003 Allergy Asthma Care has utilized biologic therapy to help patients overcome severe allergic related diseases. At first biologic therapy was available only for moderate to severe asthma.Currently we use biologics to also treat chronic hives, severe atopic dermatitis (eczema), and chronic rhinosinusitits with nasal polyps. The biologic therapies that we use in our practice are very safe with few side effects and have afforded many of our patients amazing results.
