I am a professional chef that's completely enamored with France (I've taken multiple trips and even lived and worked in Paris for a year), gastronomy, and all things "foodie." I'd just like to express how the amazing meal I enjoyed at La Tour on my trip to Vail in November 2008 is one I will never forget. It was a lobster reduction with seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes, and more, complemented by a succulent wine and completed by the creme brulee--it still lingers on my tongue and holds the place as the best meal I've ever eaten in my life. I asked the executive chef for the recipe so that I could attempt to recreate and re-live the experience at home but was not allowed the ingredient list, much to my disappointment. I will most certainly visit this restaurant again the next time I'm in Vail. Magnifique!
