These guys are flat out the best in the buisnisses. From selection to information and service this is as good as it gets. These guys aren't just a good place to buy guns, they are a good bunch to become friends with. This is the shop that you will enjoy their company as much or more than the firearms. They take care of you like you are family, and I have fun going there to say hi too. If your shopping somewhere else your missing out.

JLM is a great place to buy or trade. I have purchased 3 gun there, and have recommended them to friends and relatives. their prices and customer service are top notch. I have shopped most of shops around DM, including the big boys, and have found the prices here to be the best. They may be a small shop but seem to have a very good selection of fire arms.

I've purchased a couple rifles from these guys now, and I've always left in a better mood than when I came in. The staff is pretty friendly and very knowledgeable. They have an excellent selection of products at very reasonable prices. Many of their guns and optics even beat the next prices I can find online even BEFORE shipping and FFL transfer. Always look forward to coming in here when I can.

Great selection and great deals. No reason to go to one of the mega stores. I like to support small local businesses when possible. JLM beats them in price and in friendly service. You won't feel rushed to buy in this store. I will always buy everything from JLM if possible.

I had a great experience at JLM. The staff gives great information about the hunting gear and knows a lot about the gun smithing stuff too.

The young man at the counter was polite and friendly, the range boss was an extremely helpful and polite associate who went out of her way to give us a good experience - I also had an inexperienced shooter in my company, and it was important to make him comfortable at the range.

I am an avid collector and am that "will be prepared for anything" kindda person. So I obviously have done my treading around the DES moines area looking for the perfect shop with knowledge and plenty of stock or option to obtain via the shop dealers. In Des moines and surrounding areas so far I have yet to find a better well rounded shop that has my answers,weapons and personal attention provided to me better than jlm. They are on the ball know their shi* and take good care of their customers so to have repeat business. Very smart approach and I will not goto any other shop in town due to this personable service. I had a great experience here. I took my son and daughter here and we saw an assortment of handguns and a few others. This was the first time they held real guns and I think the power of the guns made an impact on them. The guy that helped us also taught them a great deal about gun safety which I certainly appreciated.

I went to JLM last week on a friend’s recommendation. I had initially gone in just to browse, but they had this great deal on a shot gun that I just could not pass up. The staff answered each and every question I had and were really knowledgeable guys. I will definitely be back again.

Last Christmas my husband surprised me with my first gun. He has been saying he is going to get one for me forever and now I have one of my own. It is a powerful thing owning your own gun. Anyway, I know he got it at JLM because he loves this shop. This year for Christmas, it’s my turn. I went in and bought his present last week. The guys remembered him coming in and helped me pick out a new piece to add to his collection- very helpful guys on staff too.

Larry and Ray are two great and very knowledgeable gun people. They know their weapons well and if you have need of repair, definitely check them out.Fair and reasonable prices, and they do what they can to keep up inventory especially on ammo. Not a large inventory of weapons, but a great local gun shop.
