Urbana Middle School is a public school serving students in grades six through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is a part of the Urbana School District 116. It offers classes in various subjects, including science, language arts, social studies, math, music, foreign language, art, family and consumer science, physical development and health. The school s library comprises more than 12,000 books, over 30 periodicals and instructional media. Other features of the library include online public access computers for searching the library catalog, an eMac minilab with Internet access, laser printers, a photocopy service for students and a faculty reading room. It offers various extracurricular activities, such as art club, student council, science Olympiad, builders club and yearbook.
