It facilitates as a liaison between builders and manufacturers, design professionals and housing research and government and industry. The NAHB Research Center is designed to advance housing technology and enhance housing affordability. Created in 1964, the company has engineering services, laboratory and certification services and quality assurance consulting services. It also does applied market research and land use and development research. The NAHB Research Center is based in Upper Marlboro, Md.
