Fuel oil delivery was quick and same day. Great to do business with people not a automated system.

Terrible customer service. I'm a contract customer and called on a Friday to request delivery because my gauge was almost on E. I was told no delivery before Monday. I called again on Saturday and asked if they would please come out because I wasn't sure if there was enough oil to make it to Monday. No delivery until Monday. 4am on Sunday morning I ran out of oil. So now my tank needs to be primed. Which means an extra $20 AND once again I have to be home to let them in. It's Monday at 12:30pm and I am STILL waiting for them to arrive. NO heat since Saturday night and the outside temp is around 30 degrees. Nice service. And here's the kicker! IF I get oil from any other provider, my one week old $165 service contract is voided. I will NOT be signing again with them.

I would strongly recommend against using this company for Fuel Oil. There are others out there with better customer service. I called October 16, 2009 for the current price and was told that they hadn't delivered oil to me since 2007 and then the girl on the line questioned if I had been buying oil from somebody else since 2007. This had nothing to do with my desire to buy 500 gallons of oil since I have 2 tanks that are dry. She told me there was a note that they were not allowed to sell me oil. I asked for an explanation and she said that's just the way it is. I asked to speak to a manager or owner and was put on hold for some time and she came back with the same reply and hung up on me. I tried to call back but she wouldn't talk and continued to hang up on me. O well. Guess they didn't want to sell 500 gallons at 2.349. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would have at least expected the owner or manager of a small company to explain why this note was on my account. O well.
Incredible service! Representative on the phone was outstanding and the service technician who bid the job and then installed the job was outstanding.
I've been using American for several years for my home heat oil and haven't found anyone with less expensive oil in the area.
Always one of the lowest prices and fantastic service. Switched to this company after the"huge" oil co. left me without heat for 3 days after calling.
