Flat Rock Middle School provides educational programs to students in grades six, seven and eight. Its curriculum includes fine arts, business, English, family and consumer science, math, science and social science. The school also offers classes in industrial and technical education and computer application. It offers special education programs to physically and mentally challenged students. Flat Rock Middle School also offers guidance, psychological, speech therapies, counseling and nursing services to students. It offers various extracurricular activities, such as music, arts, drama, games and sports that include basketball and wrestling. It organizes various clubs and organizations that include academic bowl, beta, builders and first priority club. The school also offers a library and provides food services to its students.
