Provided by YP.comI went one time and felt like I had gone back to the dark ages. I have a phobia of dentist and he let me know very quickly that he didn't believe in gas, how dangerous it was and all the reasons he didn't use it. I was hurting and had no choice but to let him work on my tooth but I found a more updated dentist very quickly. My husband used him for years until we get a bill for around $1500 stating that he had done some complicated procedure on two teeth. My husband was never given a shot or numbed and has never had a cavity in his entire life at the age of 50. After questioning the bill we were told of some procedure they claimed to have done. He still has no fillings or cavities or crowns so we have no clue what he did but we paid the bill and changed to another wonderful dentist in Tyler who actually stays updated on the latest technology and doesn't just rub your arm while the 6 inch needle is in your mouth. Any dentist who refuses to use nitrous oxide these days needs to get with the program and do things to make patients feel more comfortable. Going to the dentist is very traumatic for a lot of people including myself. My husband did like his hygienist and felt like she did a good job cleaning his teeth. He continued to go until we got what we felt was an inflated invoice. He wasn't a terrible dentist, just very outdated with his equipment and then appeared judgmental when asked if he used gas........I am going to assume he is one of the very few dentist that do not use gas these days due to dentist phobias, which are very very real!!

Provided by YP.comRecently, I had to have a filling redone and was very nervous. Going to the dentist is a usually an unpleasant experience and I was not looking forward to it. However, my experience was pain-free and anxiety free! Dr. Gerber and his assistant were very reassuring and comforting. It may seem a small thing to some, but Dana (dental assistant) simply rubbing my arm while Dr. Gerber worked, made a very big difference. Just the small touch made me feel a lot less anxious. I highly recommend Dr. Gerber to anyone who is the least bit nervous about visiting the dentist. The office staff and dental assistants are very professional and kind. Also, I do not have dental insurance and Gentle Dental Care offers excellent service at a reasonable price.
