On April 14th we went to Lowe's and noted they had a big sign out in front of the store that said "Window Installation Only $99". When we went in the store we picked up the weekly sale paper that said they had a 20% discount on special order vinyl windows and 12 month same as cash for sales over $299.00. We talked to the man in the windows department and he confirmed these three offers and said Lowe's was also offering to pay the sales tax. We asked the man in the window department to give us an estimate on 6 windows which we had measured. He said the installed price should be around $1,800.00 but we would have to pay a $35.00 fee to have someone come out to measure the windows and give us an official price. We went to the cashier and paid the $35.00 fee and got our "official price" 8 days later. Official price on the windows is $2,100.00 and the price of the installation is $1,650.00, more than $270/window, for a total of $3,750.00. So much for a good advertised deal at Lowe's!
