Utilizing a unique, patented technology, Sunoco also manufactures 2 million tons annually of high-quality metallurgical-grade coke for use in the steel industry. The company operates five domestic refineries and markets gasoline under the Sunoco brand in 25 states from Maine to Florida, including Washington, D.C., and west to Indiana. The company was founded in 1886 and is headquartered in Philadelphia. It also has an additional location in Tulsa, Okla.
