First I'd like to say I never take my vehicle into shops, I always do my own work. But after pulling out my transmission and realizing I was in over my head, I brought it to Glen. I dropped off my transmission at near the shop closing time and the next day Glen had already tore down the transmission and identified the problems, which were bad enough to need a whole new transmission. Glen went out of his way to find me a transmission and had it rebuilt by the following day all for under $1000. Although I pulled the transmission out myself and put it back in myself Glen offered/encouraged me to bring it by his shop the next day so he could inspect and adjust my install for no additional charge. If you are looking for a fair deal and all around honest service, this is the shop for you. I will never go to anyone else for my drivetrain needs.

I don't write reviews, but I had to write this one. I have never been treated better in my life. I was visiting from Missouri when my 2005 Mercury Mariner Premier's transmission broke down and I was stuck. I called around to a few places & after talking to a lot of people, I talked with a gentleman named Glen. I could tell he was very knowledgeable & he seemed genuinely concerned. I chose Central Transmission & they had the transmission out one day & the new one in the next & I was back on the road to home. It has been about two months now, and it works like new, I am a very happy customer, and I was treated like family. I just wanted to let others know that there are good people out there, and Glen is one of them. He has a great crew, who knows what they are doing, and they do it well. I was moving from OKC to Ohio. Driving my Honda Odyssey, towing my Jeep Cherokee in the 110 degree weather (Don’t try this at home; not good for Odyssey!). Needless to say that about 60 miles into my 875 mile journey and I had toasted my transmission. This could possibly be the worst day of my life. After a call to the auto club for a tow, and some quick Smartphone research, I came across the guys at Central Transmission (they came highly recommended).
These guys went above and beyond for customer service! They gave me food and water. They helped me find a U-Haul truck to finish my trip. They drove me to get the U-Haul, and helped me load my stuff into it from the van. They fixed my transmission (and also an engine mount) for way cheaper than the Honda shop quoted. They even picked me up from the airport when I flew back to Tulsa to get the van just a week later!
Bottom line: These guys turned what could have been a terrible, terrible week into the best experience I’ve ever had with any auto shop. My van is now shifting sharp, and I am smart enough not to tow anything with it again (yes even with the ‘towing package’, still not a good idea!).
