American Waste Control is the product of more than 40 years in the waste collection business. Since our founding in 1970 by visionary Kenneth Burkett, weve built our company on serving the Tulsa community and providing the best in waste management solutions, first with residential services in the early 70s and then in the arena of commercial collection services that have become the envy of Oklahoma. In 1987, we founded Tulsa Recycle and Transfer (TRT) with the goal of saving our natural resources and making a positive impact on the environment. We opened American Environmental Landfill (AEL) in 2000 with a similar purpose in mindbut with the aim of also raising a new standard in the industry when it comes to the efficiency and cleanliness of waste disposal. When you call there are no annoying answering machines, only friendly people trained to handle all of your waste management needs. We offer a full range of support from the collection of your waste, to recycling, final disposal and converting it to reclaimed energy. American Environmental Landfill is a subtitle D landfill that prides itself on maintaining a high level of service while meeting and exceeding state and national environmental standards. Our facility is open to the public daily, Monday through Saturday, and is considered Oklahomas safest, cleanest, and most environmentally conscious landfill. AEL accepts municipal solid waste (MSW), construction demolition material (C&D), plus, special or industrial waste that meets the Department of Environmental Quality standards.
