The Engineering Division is operated by the Tucson Department of Transportation, which is a part of the government of the City of Tucson in Arizona. The division offers programming, design and construction services for the city s improvement districts and transportation capital improvement projects. It prepares maps and legal descriptions for the city s annexation program. The Engineering Division is also responsible for the implementation and administration of city improvement districts for neighborhood streets, sidewalks, and sewer and drainage systems. The division administers the city s floodplain ordinance and required interim regulations for emergency relief programs and subsidized flood insurance and federal financial assistance purposes.
