Established in 2001, Sonoran Science Academy is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It has an enrollment of more than 415 students. The school provides classes in math, science and computer technology, as well as maintains a parent council that conducts regular improvement monitoring meetings. It also offers instruction in physical education, social studies, language arts, foreign languages and fine arts. Sonoran Science Academy has art, music, chess, drama, ceramics, bowling, Spanish, sports and cultural adaptation clubs. It provides special education, and college-preparation programs. Additionally, the school organizes several assemblies, fundraising events, athletic competitions, and recreational and educational field trips. Sonoran Science Academy maintains a location in Tucson, Ariz.
