These guys are not to be trusted. My wife had been complaining about squeaky brakes for a few weeks, so I made an appointment with Midas. They put the car up on the lift, inspected the brakes, and then broke the news to me. My pads were almost worn through (they said less than 3mm was left), and the rotors were "below spec" and couldn't be resurfaced to fix the shakiness. All told, it was going to be $700 and change. I decided to at least call around to get a few competitive bids from others. I ended up going to another place, and guess what? My pads and rotors are fine. The guy here took me out to SHOW me the pads, and there is AT LEAST 8 mm left on both the front and back. The rotors are plenty thick for resurfacing as well. So I'm having this place do the resurfacing for $140. Sorry, Midas. You just lost a long-time customer because you tried to con me into paying for service I didn't need. I hope this review discourages hundreds of your future customers from doing business.
