We took our Karelian Bear Dog to Robinswood Kennels as a last resort. The alternative was to put our dog down. We acquired our dog as a puppy and were mislead to the socialization that it underwent. In addition the animal was abused over a prolonged period of time by a live in nurse that we had hired for my mother's care. As a result we were faced with an extremely dangerous animal which had no idea of its role within our family. Rick Robins and his professional staff were able to take this primitive breed and train it and the four members of my family over a six week period to interact and to establish a friendly cohesive relationship. During our pets stay we always found him to be well fed and cared for and always found the kennel to be clean. Rick robins is a Master dog trainer whose experience and knowledge saved our dog's life. WE thank you and will continue to recommend his services.

Rumors of fear training can be confirmed in my dog. I took her to Robinswood after adopting her when she was 3 years old and she was confident and very trusting as well as trust worthy. she just didn't quite get the training aspect due to her stubborn nature. So I decided to seek professional help. 12 days after I put her in training I started hearing rumors of fear training going on at the school. By the time I actually got a hold of someone her 2 weeks of training had ended. Now she is super timid and cowers constantly no matter how sweet you say her name. She is scared of people when they stand up from sitting in a chair. Robinswood ruined my baby's confidence and now she is nothing but fearful. I will NEVER send another dog there and will make sure no one I know does either.
