General Info

In 2005 Dr. Ala Yassin graduated from dental school in Jordan. She practiced for several years in a private clinic before moving on to providing refugees with much-needed dental care via an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization). She moved to the United States in 2008. Dr. Yassin decided to study dentistry at the University of Colorado Dental Medicine Anschutz, and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in December of 2015. She remained in Colorado, where she practiced until 2017. She joined the Periodontal Residency Program at Anschutz Dental and Medical University and graduated from the residency in June of 2020. During her residency, Dr. Yassin worked as a part-time general dentist and became interested in learning about Periodontal care. She attended the American Association of Periodontology and became a Certified Periodontist in August of 2021. When she’s not practicing, Dr. Yassin enjoys baking treats with her 13-year-old and doing Zumba. She speaks English and Arabic.
