The North Greenbush Police Department is a public agency that works towards the prevention of loss of life, injuries and property damage. The department also provides services for managing traffic and emergency incidents and protecting public and state assets. The North Greenbush Police Department undertakes cases related to sexual offense, domestic violence and drug abuse. The department responds to emergency calls related to accidents and other criminal matters. It operates an animal control unit that is responsible for enforcing city animal licensing provisions, as well as investigating all animal incidents. In addition, the North Greenbush Police Department provides bike patrol, gun registration, crime prevention and emergency readiness services.
