Located in Troy, N.Y., La Salle Institute is a Catholic school for boys that serve students in grades six through 12. Established in 1850, the institute offers several courses, including religion, English, history, mathematics, science and language arts. Its academic curriculum also includes physical education, fine and performing arts, computer and technology and marketing. The school has several departments, such as band, computer, fine arts, foreign languages and guidance. Its athletics team includes baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, hockey, lacrosse, skiing, soccer, tennis, track and wrestling. The school has several organizations, including National Honor Society, newspaper, student senate and yearbook.
