While this salon looks good from the outside- beware of the owner! I have overheard him lose his temper on at least 4 different occasions while waiting and he actually told the customers to leave the salon and take their business elsewhere . Thankfully, it was not directed at me (this time) but it did scare me. His customer service is terrible! I go when the female employee is working now.

I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service provided by the owner of the business, John. He was very sincere to me when I originally signed up for a tanning package the week before. I visited the salon the following Sunday during normal hours and they closed early with no sign on the door as to why. The salon's hours of operation are not as advertised, they like to choose their own hours instead of what's advertised on the door. When I approached John the following Tuesday about this issue I was expecting an explanation or at least apology for the situation. Instead he was very nasty and had a bad temper. John didn't bother to apologize or make the situation right, he angrily argued that this is how I've been doing business for 18 years. John didn't bother to remedy the situation, apologize or offer a full-refund for my services that I paid for. I highly recommend to avoid this place at all costs because this establishment is not customer service oriented.

The BEST service one could ask for! I was driving by and saw a VIP tanning salon in Troy and decided to go in and see what they had to offer. I wasn't going to buy anything...at first. Even though they were very busy inside at that time, the young man at the counter spent at least 20 minutes with me. He showed me all the tanning levels and explained in great detail what the differences were. He was very good. But the best part was when I decided on what package to get. I chose the most expensive package and he talked me out of it beacuse it wasn't the right level for me...Who does that? So he put me into a lesser expensive package that was perfect for what I was trying to accomplish! I applaud his honesty & integrity. That is a very rare trait to have. He could have easily pushed the most expensive tanning package on me but chose to be honest instead. I will absolutely refer everyone to your store! Thank You John!

I was actually referred by a friend to go to this salon (my new best friend) They have 6 different levels of tanning equipment and they have an anti-aging red light bed!! I was given a complete tour of the salon, which is nice considering there are so many levels to choose from and an explanation of what each bed does. They were not pushy and did not sell me something I didn't need. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! I would recommend VIP Tanning to anyone that wanted a great tan, a great price, and absolutely a pleasure to work with. Thank You so much for everything!! Diane W.
