Infectious Disease Consultants, P.C. specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases for all ages. We are a board certified member of the American Medical Association. Our services include the treatment of HIV and wounds, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We have a 24-hour emergency services. We also accept referrals and same day appointments. They may be bacterial, fungal, mycobacterial, or viral, and disease transmission methods include airborne, waterborne, and vector-borne. We provide on-site infusion therapy, antibiotic therapy, antimicrobial therapy, and other therapies and treatments. Lyme Disease Lyme disease is spread through the bite of a deer tick and causes a characteristic bull's eye rash. Advanced Lyme disease may cause severe joint pain or nerve damage. Rapid diagnosis and treatment can prevent complications from occurring. Hepatitis Hepatitis is a disease that involves the liver. There are 3 main types of viral hepatitis (A, B, and C), any of which can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening illness. We can provide appropriate Hepatitis treatment and prevention, including vaccines. HIV HIV is a virus that causes gradual failure of the immune system. Although there is no known cure, new medications have had substantial success in treating this illness and restoring immune function. Influenza (Flu) The "flu" can be especially serious for pregnant women, children, senior citizens and people with compromised immune systems. We offer early flu testing and treatment that may help to limit the duration of your illness, minimize your symptoms and minimize the risk of flu spreading to other members of your household.
