Long Lake Elementary provides educational opportunities for more than 290 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes reading, writing, math, music, science, social studies, visual and performing arts, and health and physical education. It operates a parent-teacher organization that supports fundraising events and family activities. Long Lake Elementary employs over 25 staff members. In addition, the school offers opportunities for students to participate in basketball tournaments. It maintains a library and provides social support and nursing services. Long Lake Elementary operates a ski club and administers the English as a Second Language program. The school is a part of Traverse City Area Public Schools.
