General Info
Dr.Jon Allen Heezen became a dentist to provide healthcare in a rural area where there was no other dentist. Helping people meet their oral health need is something he feel passionate about.Dr. Heezen received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He was a student council president as well as class president for 4 years. He is currently involved in the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship track, which will benefit his patients by allowing him to stay on top of the constantly changing field of dentistry. His studies at this time include a focus on special patient needs. He is affiliated with the following associations: Minnesota Dental Association, American Dental Association ,' American Dental Education Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

My (1 year old) son and I had our 6 month appointments at Prairie Lakes Family Dentistry today. Jakki was our hygienist and she did such a great job of cleaning my teeth while also keeping my son content with the whole experience! Dr. Heezen also did a great job of making things go as easy as possible for my son by maintaining a positive demeanor and working efficiently in his exams. Very pleased with the care we both received today :)
Cleaning and check-up.
Dr. Heezen and the dental assistants are amazing! They are always professional, caring, and friendly. At my last visit Randi took great care of me and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Heezen really knows what he is doing. I had a tooth that had been injured when I was young, and it had turned brown. Now, I can SMILE with confidence! I highly recommend Dr. Heezen and his staff. They are doing an awesome job and really care about people!
I needed to get my daughter in do to, jaw pain. It was an unexpected issue. They got us in very quickly and figured out the issue quickly. Thank you.

I had my teeth cleaned by Chelsey. She did such a wonderful job. She was gentle, kind and a great listener. I can't wait to have my teeth cleaned again in 6 months!
Dr Heezen and his team are wonderful. They're willingness to work you in with their busy schedule has always been very accomodating to my family. I would highly recommend his and his team to anyone.
Very clear explanations of what the root canal procedure would entail. Minimal discomfort during root canal (I was always told it was an awful procedure, this is not the case). They were nice about taking breaks during all of my procedures and careful to monitor signs of discomfort. I was hesitant to visit a dentist as I've had bad experiences before but I'll have no problem coming back here.
Good, as was expected. Always takes time to answer all questions in a way that is easy to understand. Keeps me informed on what is happening while he works on my teeth.
