Ridge Ruxton School is a special education school that provides diversified educational programs and services to disabled students in the age group of 3 to 21. Its multidisciplinary staff is composed of instructional assistants, guidance counselors, registered nurses, and speech and language therapists. The school s instructional areas include personal management, career vocational and functional academics. Its preschool and kindergarten children participate in a half-day program with emphasis on structured development. The school s elementary and middle classes focus on life skills. Ridge Ruxton School also offers an array of extracurricular activities, such as basketball, indoor hockey, soccer, cheerleading and chorus.
