Established in 1977, Merritt Athletic Clubs is a workout facility that conducts youth classes and features body training systems. With more than 600 employees, it conducts fitness classes that include muscle conditioning, cardio kickboxing, body pumping, and swimming and cycling activities. The club operates a martial arts academy that offers a range of services, including traditional Tang Soo Do classes, self-defense seminars, private martial arts lessons and individualized martial arts conditioning. It provides personal training; nutrition and weight loss programs; and weight and stress management coaching sessions. Merritt Athletic Clubs manages more than 17,000 members in over five locations.
