Tons of meat on their grinders and sandwiches, you can literally make 2 more meals at least with the leftovers! Prices are good and the food is great... A hole in the wall worth finding! Seriously, try it and you'll never go to Subway or any other deli again!

Carbone's market has many great hot and cold items and groceries. However their grinders are notorious for being the biggest and the best. Where else can you get a grinder on a whole loaf of Italian bread at your request.Long before the sub,hogie,hero, Carbones made the grinder. Today,Tony carries out the tradition of Al Carbone and his wife, with the best grinders in the state. I remember Tony starting as a delivery boy some 40 years ago, though I don't know how long he has had the store (over 20 years, at least), Tony has held the proud tradition of the best kept secret in Northwest Connecticut. I think if you look in the dictionary under "grinder" you'll see Carbone's Market.

The homemade sausage is really terrific. They grind their own beef daily. Chops and roasts are custom cut for each customer. The grinders are huge. Excellent value.
