The Torrance City Manager s Office is responsible for the management of all the municipal activities of Torrance, Calif., which include strategic planning and advise to Torrance s city council on financial and capital improvement needs and other municipal matters. The Torrance City Manager's Office manages city properties and capital improvement projects and is the focal point for economic development and community relations. Responsibilities of the Torrance City Manager's Office include cable television citizen assistance, community relations, economic development, emergency preparedness, employee relations, legislative affairs, special events review and the city s volunteer program. The volunteer program places each volunteer on an individual basis according to their skills and qualifications, goals and department needs. The office is located in Torrance s city hall.
