I called to get my cat groomed and asked about the environment he would be in and the process of shaving him. Guess I wasn't able to inquire about that, as the person hung up on me. I tried to call back immediately and she would not answer the phone. I'm glad I didn't take my cat there. If she treats animals the same way she treats people, it's a wonder she has any customers at all.

I would like to know the name of the 3rd grooming school Stacie?? You said Petropolis near St. Louis was one of them...a quick phonecall revealed you walked out of that school after just one week! Today, Nash Academy confirmed you never went to their school. I don't like FAKE people and LIARS!! You are a FAKE in the grooming industry, and an abusive person to work for on top of it!! Don't bother deleting your post now...I have copied it, and will just re-post it for you for everyone to see what a LIAR you are! Now that I know all about you, I'm GLAD I left, and I wouldn't recommend anyone take their pets to your shop! By the way Stacie...you bragged about the school you graduated from teaching you how to put dogs eyeballs BACK in their sockets, in case you happen to pop one out. There were 3 of us present when you spoke of this, so don't try to lie about it. Let me tell you this....there isn't a grooming school on this planet that will teach you how to do that. THAT, is a medical emergency and requires a licensed veterinarian to address, not a lowly groomer! What a FAKE and sick and twisted person you are! Oh! And, while I'm on the subject....you lie about customer complaints so you can really talk down to your groomers and make the situation worse than it really was. Micheal Frey, or Ashley Sanders ring any bells???

Newly remodeled with state of ...

My name is Stacie Lohmeyer the owner of all the Pampered Pets Salons and I'm going to address the negative reviews on this site. I'm not sure why my Google and Yelp reviews are good and this site has all these bad ones. I bought Pampered Pets on 17th over two years ago and it had 150 clients and with the help of some other awesome groomers I've grown it to 8000 clients. My husband does own a car dealership , its in Osborne Kansas a small farm town 3 hours from Topeka and I have never sold a car from there, I've been there 3 times in 4 years. I lived in Kansas all my life. Asking my completion my back ground is ludicrous. I'm sure they are feeling a drain on their client base, several times a day we get new clients and they are switching from another groomer or shop. When they complain about other groomers we do not comment or agree. Its called Business Karma, our shops are positive places. I went to Nash Grooming School in Louisville Kentucky. It is the #1 school in America and it cost me $35000. I also attended two other grooming schools that specialize in certain breeds. I interned ( worked my but off for free) at 11 other shops all over the United Stated for another year to get an idea of what I wanted my shop to be. I wanted to learn new modern ways. That's how I developed our bath and walk in program that clients love. Before I went to grooming school I raised and showed dogs. I've been to Westminster and Crufts with my dogs. I've always been in some form of the pet industry. Everyone I hire has been to a school or groomed somewhere on their own for min 5 years. Losing your cool with a dog is instant termination. I use only top of the line shampoos and products, not Dawn dish soap. No extra charges for oatmeal or med rinse treatments. no extra charge for grinding nails. Our pricing is very fair and usually a little less than most We also charge by the size of the dog which is fair for the clients and the groomers. I am the ONLY person who answers the phone. There is no way a dog can get a urinary track infection from grooming. Its a bath and hair cut and don't board dogs. You can get fleas from anywhere including grass, we take fleas very serious, our shops do not have fleas! I have never in my life told a client to F_off. I always try and work on a solution. We do hundreds of dogs a month and I understand the fact you cant make everyone happy but I'm willing to try. If your dog is matted and you groom it 2 times a year you will pay at $10 matt fee which is a deal because it takes twice as long to do the cut and ruins our blades. ALL shops do this and many charge much more. Why would you pay the same as a person who comes every 6 weeks who maintains the dog and brushes the coat? If you want the matts brushed out take the dog somewhere else because we are not in the business of hurting dogs. I personally guarantee you this... your dog will be treated like I treat my fur babies at home with kindness and compassion , you will be charged a fair price that is posted on the wall and your pet will be in and out as quickly as possible, most days less than two hours. Shops are clean and have all nice state of the art equipment. Please feel free to call me at anytime. I answer my phone 24/7.

Went to Pampered Pets for many years under prior ownership and was very satisfied. Took my dog there twice under new ownership. Each time was charged at least $10 more than price quoted. Service was mediocre at best and over-priced. On the last visit, I asked why the amount was more than quoted - dog wasn't matted, not a difficult cut. They could not tell me why - said I would have to call back and speak to the owner. When I called back to speak to the owner, she became belligerent and used foul language. She told me if I didn't want to pay their prices to take my "f...ing dog someplace else". Have never been treated like that by a business owner. Wouldn't go back there if you paid me.

Because the locations were con...

Because the locations were convenient, I gave this place 3 chances even after they were rude, mean to my dog, charged me 25% more than what we had agreed upon when I dropped off my dog, (each time they gave a different reason), and on the second visit my dog came home with fleas and a urinary track infection that required a visit to our vet for medication. When we took our dog to the vet after the second visit he even warned me that he had not only heard bad things about how Pampered Pets treats the animals they groom, but he had also had to treat several dogs himself for fleas and UTIs after they had been groomed by Pampered Pets. Still, I was stupid enough to give them one last chance at the other location. This was a big mistake. After they were rude to me, did not have my dog done on time, and had given him an awful cut that I could have done at home, they again charged me more than we agreed upon when I dropped off my dog. Ugh! 3 strikes your OUT!!! BBB rating is D-

Poor ethics

I have poodle that I called about to have a very specific cut done. I asked her how much it was going to cost me and got a very low ball price. That made me very very worriful. So I asked how long she has been grooming and she told me that she has been grooming for 12yrs. I told her that I will call back. I called around to other shops and got the price I would expect. At the same time I questioned other shops about her. They told me that she just started grooming for about 1 yr. The owners back ground is in automotive sales from a northern state. I have friends that have told me nothing good about them. I have found a great groomer that grooms out of her house and she does a very good job. She does a low amount per day but it shows in her work. If anyone is looking for a groomer please contact me at smith.donald88@yahoo.com and I'll give you her information.

I took my Poochon here and he LOVED it!! They are very professional and did an AMAZING job!! My puppy has long, thick, curly hair and needed it shaved. They did an amazing job, and were very professional job. My puppy can get nervous when he isn't with me. I was EXTREMELY impressed when I picked him up because he was completely calm. This tells me they took very good care of him and he wasn't nervous at all. My dog is like my child and I am very protective and have very high expectations. Pampered Pets surpassed them all! I would highly recommend Pampered Pets Grooming Boutique.

Well today my yorkie got an $84 trim from Pampered Pets, here in Topeka. When I brought her home she couldn't open her right eye. I notified the groomer, who asked to see it in person, then claimed nothing was wrong with her, after accusing me of giving her pink eye. I took her to my vet who gave her eye drops and antibiotics for the irritation and swelling of her eye. I then took the invoice back to pampered pets where the groomer (and owner?) told me I was "retarded" for choosing that vet, and not taking her to the vet she had offered, and called me a dumb blonde for paying that much when "nothing is wrong with Miley." So, not only am I looking for a new groomer I'm also suggesting none of you take your pets to be pampered there. Miley is doing much better and had no serious injury. Just eye irritation from the shampoo not being washed out properly.
