- EndometriosisEndometriosis– The tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus is called the endometrium. Unfortunately, in some women the tissue grows outside the uterus. This condition can affect an estimated 10-20 percent of American women of childbearing age. While some women with endometriosis may have severe pelvic pain, others who have the condition have no symptoms. In some instances pelvic scarring and adhesions may occur. These, in turn, may prevent a woman from being able to become pregnant.

- Urinary Tract InfectionSymptoms of a urinary tract infection include pain or burning with urination and increased frequency of urination. The urine may be cloudy or have a strong odor. Unexplained lower abdominal cramping, often accompanied by a backache, can also mean a UTI. An untreated urinary tract infection can cause premature labor, so do not delay seeking treatment. If you suffer from these symptoms you should call the office and we will arrange a urinalysis for you. It is essential to drink plenty of water and fruit juices (8 to 10 glasses a day) if you think you have a urinary tract infection. You should also avoid caffeinated and carbonated beverages, as they can irritate the bladder and increase your pain and discomfort.

- UltrasoundUltrasound creates images of internal organs of the body from sound waves. These images are called Sonograms. Sonograms/Ultrasound services are used in pregnant women as well as non-pregnant women. In pregnant women, a sonogram may be done for several reasons such as to assess fetal growth and well being, or to determine the baby’s due date. It can also help diagnose problems in pregnancy such as ectopic pregnancies (pregnancies outside the uterus), bleeding during pregnancy and fetal abnormalities. At Lincoln Center, we do sonograms only when medically indicated. We no longer offer 3D/4D sonograms for entertainment. Ultrasound is also used in non-pregnant women for a variety of reasons such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, IUD placement and infertility.
- X-Rays
- HysterectomyHysterectomy – We perform this surgery using four different methods (vaginal/laparoscopic/abdominal/robotic) depending on the needs of the patient.
- Endometrial AblationHysteroscopy, with Endometrial Ablation – This minimally invasive surgical technique is used to treat many causes of heavy uterine bleeding.
- LaparoscopyLaparoscopy, Advanced – Allows us to provide rapid recovery from extensive surgery by avoiding large incisions on the abdomen. These techniques require a greater amount of skill with the laparoscope than would be typically encountered in our medical profession.
- Reconstructive SurgeryPelvic Floor Reconstruction – When the muscles on the pelvic floor become damaged or weak – often as a result of childbirth – they are unable to support the weight of some or all of the pelvic and abdominal organs. If this occurs, one or more of the organs may drop below their normal positions, causing symptoms including discomfort, pain, pressure and urinary incontinence. Depending on the requirements of the patient we offer both non-surgical and reconstructive surgery for this troublesome condition.
