Services/Products
The Cardiac Rehabilitation program is designed to limit the physiological and psychological effects of cardiac illness, reduce the risk for sudden death or relapse, control cardiac symptoms, stabilize and/or improve the patient's condition, and enhance the patient's quality of life. Through a six- to-twelve-week program, patients learn about good dietary habits and risk factor modification, begin an exercise program and participate in group discussions. In most cases, patients involved in a rehabilitation program are able to return to an active lifestyle with few limitations. Cardiac rehabilitation begins upon admission to the hospital and follows through recovery to a life of healthy living. The Comeback Squad is staffed by an enthusiastic support group that actively strives to help patients reduce their cardiovascular risk factors: Smoking High blood pressure Elevated blood cholesterol Lack of exercise Improper diet Being overweight Inability to cope with stress
