My boyfriend and I come to NYWB for breakfast occasionally. Usually on a weekend morning when we are in a rush. There is usually a line especially in the summer, but where isn't there a line. Last Sunday the 1st of July was a horrible experience at best. To begin there wasn't a line so I think people know when this woman is working and know to just stay away. We stopped a few feet before the counter so she could finish what she was doing before we came up, but instead we wound up waiting 5 minutes for her to finish talking to her "girls". Once she finally took notice of us, she just looked at us. No "Can I help you?" no nothing. We got over that quickly when we ordered our food. I got a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich on a sesame seed bagel with pepper only and my boyfriend got 2 egg whites and home fries with white toast. (Had she given us a receipt in the first place we would have caught her mistakes sooner). We then waited off to the side so the next person could order when

Since they have openened NY Water Bagel has become a regular Saturday morning treat for my family. Only once did I think the service was slow and that was an understaffed day - and even then the bagels were excellent. They know me by name when I walk in and are friendly too. If you don't like their bagels, you don't like bagels!

I am an electrician and eating lunch out is a way of life for me. Over the years I had some terrible food, but not last Sunday. I had the best cheese burger at NY Water Bagel Co.; the lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp, and the French fries were good too. The owner himself checked with the kitchen staff to make sure the burger was cooked "medium" as ordered. Stop by and see for yourself. Sean from Advanced Designs Electrical Contractors

Why do you come down here if you think your above "Jersey Shore service". I'm from the Jersey shore and I resent your implication that the service down here is below the norm. And I've been to the New York Bagel store many times and ALWAYS got good service ... and a great bagel ... at a decent price! Maybe you're just one of those people that are impossible to please?

NY Water Bagel charges NY prices for jersey shore service. Went in at lunch time on a Sunday afternoon. The store was not busy at all, only 1 guy in front of me. Ordered a cold sandwich on an everything bagel. Waited and watched for 15 minutes while all the workers chatted with one another while I waited. 2 guys came in a few minutes after me and ordered cooked egg sandwiches. They got theres and left before my COLD sandwich was ready. After the long wait, and the high price of $10, I got home to find the sandwich was on a plain bagel not the everything I had asked for. When I spoke with the manager, he said I had a bad attitude for being upset. Can you imagine? And by the way, the bagels are too chewy.

Went there for the first time after it was highly recommended by a friend of mine. Was very impressed. They have a great operation going on their. Everything is state of the art, the girl at the register was very sweet and after putting in my order it printed out on a printer next to the bagel section. People ordering deli sandwhichs printed out near the deli. All the baking is done upstairs, I was surprised to see a two story bagel store. When the bagels were fresh the baker yelled "hot bagels!" and then dropped them down in a basket. My four year old son thought it was the greatest thing in the world. The bagel I got was exceptional, not too chewy, not too doughy, perfect. They had mini's for the kids. My wife got french toast which she thought was incredible, it was on a thicker type of egg bread. Overall we were pleasantly surprised, and relieved to find a good bagel in the area.

Amazing bagels. Just went there today on the way to my summer home, and I was pleasantly surprised. Never expected such a great bagel in Tom's River. Much better than Manhattan Bagel or Terrigani's. The staff was very friendly, service was quick and food was fantastic. I will be a customer all summer and for the summers yet to come.

Couldnt get a better bagel anywhere in this state! Just as good as new york bagels if not better. They were out of this world. By the way, I agree the register girls are absolutely beautiful although about twenty five years younger than me.

Just got a baker's dozen. They were great. Nice and crusty on the outside and not doughie on the inside. It's what Fisher Boulevard needed, a great bagel. Thanks. and thanks for the croissant. Ken T.R.
