      Founded more than 65 years ago, OmniSource Corporation is one of North America's largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. Based in Toledo, Ohio, the firm collects, processes, resells and trades a variety of ferrous and nonferrous scrap. It operates more than 70 United States scrap collection and processing facilities, including 11 operating shredders. A subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc., OmniSource Corporation's brokerage and trading activities cover a range of products, such as ferrous and nonferrous scrap, scrap alternatives and secondary/primary metals. In addition, the firm renders transportation, scrap management, logistics and environmental compliance services.
