- The Tokeland Hotel is Washington's oldest hotel. It was built as a homestead in 1858 by George and Charlotte Brown, who settled amongst the Shoalwater Tribe, then led by Chief Toke. The family passed the property to the next generation, who opened the Tokeland Hotel in 1885. The Tokeland Hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. In 2018 Heather Earnhardt and Zac Young purchased the property with the intention of stewarding it through its next incarnation.The Tokeland Hotel is Washington's oldest hotel.
