I was recently laid off and was really sick for about a month. My friend talked me into applying for health and snap benefits while i look for work. She suggested I apply online, so i did. DHS in Tigard called me the same day, confirmed a phone interview for 2 hours later, called right on time. Took 15 minutes. The woman, I believe her name was Melissa, was very kind, informative and understanding. I have the benefits I applied for, was easy and trouble free. I am giving them 5 star because above and beyond all the stupid these folks put up with, they are still kind and decent.

It helps if you actually answer people instead of hanging up on them. Makes everything go so much smoother for everyone involved and you get less people calling you a twat.
