Riverdale Elementary School is a public school that teaches more than 490 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. It supports several before- and after-school enrichment and summer programs. Located in Thornton, Colo., Riverdale Elementary School is a part of Adams 12 Five Star Schools, which operates over 45 educational institutions with a combined enrollment of nearly 36,500 students. The school employs a staff of approximately 65 full-time, certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes literacy coaches, intervention specialists, media aides, art and music professionals, and health and physical education instructors. In addition, Riverdale Elementary School has a team of a psychologist, nurse, occupational therapist, and speech and language pathologist.
