I have eaten here often and it is a great local place to gather, take your time with your friends and have some very good food. Sometimes it may be very crowded and as such a bit longer for service, but generally great food, drinks and atmosphere.

I am sorry to say this was the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. The food was good enough, and indeed the crabmeat quiche was unique and tasty, but that scarcely made up for the abysmal service.We not get coffee for at least ten minutes.Apart from the quiche, two of us I ordered basic egg, meat and bread breakfasts They got everything wrong except the quiche. We were unable to catch the eye of a waitress. Though there were about four people working, each one stared right through us. At one point I held my coffee cup in the air for at least five minutes before a waitress would come refill it, and when she did, she filled it with very old, very cold coffee. I had to go to the register and wave money to get them to bring me a bill.Thomaston Caf has a lot of charm, art, and probably good food, if you get what you ask for, but I will never know, because there is no way on earth I would ever set foot in there again.
