Nicholls State University, located in Thibodaux, La., is a coeducational regional institution, serving students in south central Louisiana. Founded in 1948 as Francis T. Nicholls Junior College of Louisiana State University, it offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in arts and sciences, business administration, education, nursing and allied health, and continuing and adult education. Nicholls State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award degrees at the associate, baccalaureate, master and specialist levels. The college s athletic programs include baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, wrestling, and track and field.
