- Mergers and AcquisitionsSarah E. Uhrik is a Central Florida native, born and raised in Lake County, Florida. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida and her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Sarah was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the Northern District of Illinois Bar. While practicing as an Illinois attorney, Sarah focused on various aspects of civil litigation, estate planning, not-for-profit tax planning, and various aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions. During that time Sarah realized each area of her practice presented its own unique tax consequences requiring proper planning and implementation. That realization inspired her to pursue advanced studies in taxation and she earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation, with honors. Sarah concentrated her tax studies in two fields: wealth management, transfer and succession for high net-worth clients, as well as for-profit and not-for-profit tax planning.
