Terre Town Elementary is a fully accredited learning center that is governed by Vigo County School Corporation, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. Located in Terre Haute, Ind., the school serves more than 670 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Established in 1961, the school offers general academic, Title 1, and speech and hearing therapy programs. It also conducts classes for students with learning disabilities. Terre Town Elementary s range of extracurricular activities includes orchestra, art and physical education. The school also organizes several talent shows and academic and social events, such as fine arts and family nights. Its facilities include a playground, gymnasium, cafeteria, and library and media center. In addition, Terre Town Elementary operates a parent-teacher association and provides food services.
