We feel this place has good caring teachers who have been nice to deal with. The building is physically a little shabby-looking outside because it's part of a nice but older church structure. Inside it's ok. Good collection of toys, books, etc usuals. We didn't like some other places that tried push very young kids to learn the same way older kids do. Playfactory tries to make learning fun (probably you can do that trick only with preschoolers!). We like that approach. Our child looks forward to going to school here and has made friends with nice kids. It's important that kids learn how to socialize at that age and get used to learning and behaving in a classroom environment. We're told Playfactory has a low teacher turnover and it looks like that's true. Some of them have been here 10 or 20 years or more. They seem hard-working, attentive to the kids, and dedicated to their work. Free lunch and breakfast included in the tuition is a timesaver for us parents.

Our child has a great time here and is getting a good preschool education

Nonprofit. Not just licensed but also accredited by NAEYC, a higher standard which most preschools in LA don't make. Their little motto is "play is the work of children" meaning preschoolers learn best by making their playing educational. This school gives a mix of unstructured play time and guided educational activities. Kind of midway between play-only day cares and push-formal-academics-hard places. Free breakfast/lunched are a plus. Nice field trips sometimes. Really nice big outdoor play area with lots of stuff to do lets them burn off energy. The children and families are nice. Maybe about half of them are middle or upper-middle class Chinese-Americans. Nice staff who always pay careful attention to the kids. The teachers have college degrees in child education. Student-teacher ratio is usually around 6 to 1. Our child really enjoys going here after getting over the separation anxiety.
