I tried this lab on a few cases, and was never impressed. The lab manager came by for a shade match on a front tooth, and the final product was very far off. The margins on all of the cases I sent them were never good, and all of them required an extensive amount of adjustment to seat.



The manager will try to convince you that the problem is on the doctor's side. However, rarely does any lab have a problem with my impressions or preparations. I have to conclude that Star just uses poor techniques or has poor technicians.



The final straw came when the manager made several unprofessional comments about other doctors (who don't use their services any more), while making sales calls. The dental community is very close knit, and there is no excuse for this kind of behavior. We simply do not have room in our profession for a lab of this poor calibre.
