W.J. Maxey Boys Training School is a residential treatment facility for delinquent male youth between the ages of 12 and 21. The school serves the residents in Michigan. The training school offers two security levels; high and medium-closed. Its facility and surrounding property are protected through perimeter fencing, video surveillance and electronic monitoring. Its youth in medium-closed secure programs are eligible for community service projects. It offers specialized and individualized treatment programming services to city residents. Its areas of specialized programming include sex offender, substance abuse education, criminal behavior and behavioral health treatments.
