The Tecumseh Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that works to preserve peace, deter crime, and maintain law and order. It is comprised of more than 15 full- and part-time sworn officers and dispatchers. The department operates a communication center that answers various calls and dispatches personnel for police, fire, and medical emergencies and nonemergencies. The Tecumseh Police Department conducts home and property checks and car seat inspections. It supports department tours, safety talks and courses for civic groups. The department also provides concealed weapon and garage sale permits, as well as hosts a fingerprint registration program. The Tecumseh Police Department also offers copies of incident reports and informs the public about snow emergencies. It is located in Tecumseh, Mich.
