He is a knowledgeable Physician and very patient with the small children.

My baby had a UTI & it was determined through a VCUG that he had level 2 urinary reflux. Dr. Tannenbaum promptly suggested that he perform a circumcision on my 8 week old son, in his office, using numbing cream!! I got a 2nd opinion, and that doctor strongly recommended that I put the baby on the lowest dose of antibiotics, saying that at this point, circumcision should be a last option, & b/c of his size, if we were to choose that course of action, it should only be done in a hospital. Although Dr. Tannenbaum also gave us an option of antibiotics, he was definitely steering us toward circumcision. How can I doctor suggest the more radical option on a newborn, and to have it done in the office with just numbing cream?! My son is almost 15 lbs already! In addtiion to all of this, his bedside manner was the worse. He actually walked into the room & said, "Dr. Steven Tannenbaum here." Are you kidding me? There was no eye contact, much less a handshake. Would NOT recommend!
