Dr. Lori Dyer is a board certified adult and pediatric urologist. She has also passed her sub-specialty boards in pediatric urology which is currently her sole area of practice. She graduated from her fellowship in pediatric urology at LIJ/ Albert Einstein in 2006 after first completing a 6 year residency in adult and pediatric urology at New York Medical College (NYMC). She is a graduate of Albany Medical College and Middlebury College and she completed the post-baccalaureate premedical program at Columbia University. She remains involved in the residency and fellowship programs from which she graduated through mentoring. She teaches residents and fellows at NYMC where she is an Assistant Professor of Urology. She is very well-published and has presented abstracts and papers at many national conferences including the American Urological Association and the Society for Pediatric Urology. Most recently she authored a chapter in Pediatric and Robotic Reconstructive Urology called Robotic Heminephrectomy (2012, Wiley-Blackwell page 111). She is currently a clinical investigator on a research protocol with Sanofi/Aventis. Dr. Dyer has received awards from her classmates and colleagues including the AUA Praecis Award for Prostate Cancer Research during residency and the Richard Shapiro humanitarian award and Albany Medical College Urology Clerkship award during medical school. She graduated cum laude from Middlebury as an independent scholar in journalism. Dr. Dyer has always been highly committed to community service and volunteerism. Although her life is very rich with a full-time job, husband and two school-age children, she has continued community service into her adulthood as an attending physician. This is an achievement that she is extremely proud of. She is currently a board member and the treasurer of Children’s Health International Medical Expeditions.
