The Tarpon Springs Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the city of Tarpon Springs, Fla. It prevents crime, protects residents lives and their property, suppresses criminal activity, and apprehends and prosecutes offenders. The Tarpon Springs Police Department provides patrol enforcement, crime prevention and reporting, neighborhood watch, identity theft security, and personal and home safety services. The department has a code enforcement unit that addresses public health and safety issues, including regulations related to garbage, removal of vegetation, zoning, dangerous buildings, housing and inoperable vehicles on private property. The Tarpon Springs Police Department organizes various youth and community outreach programs.
