Provided by YP.comWe had the opportunity to visit Tarpon Springs and with the reviews of this restaurant we decided to try it.
While the over all look was Greek the food was far from it, second class if at that.
We started out with a simple greek salad yes just a real greek salad not the one with potatoe salad in it.
The tomatoes were in large chunks and unripen. Now this is the time for nice tomatoes so why not take advantage of that. There were cucumbers, and two chucks of cheese which by the way was very good, but no olives which always come in greek salads and to top it off they put bottle " bad Italian salad dressing" on it. Instead of olive oil and herbs.Did not eat it, just awful should have sent it back. The waiter brought us each a glass of greek wine which was more of a dessert wine could not drink the white or the red. Awful sweet. Sent it back. I know that greek wine can be sweet but not for dinner.
So after our rough start we decided to keep it simple so we ordered a Gyro which was not bad.
Now you might wonder why I am so critical of this so called "authentic greek restaurant" we have been to Greece and stayed on the island of Aegena, this food we had was not authentic greek.
Suggestion if you advertise as a "authentic restaurant" then stick to it. There were several waiters that were Greek, it is a Greek town so why not do what you do best cook GOOD GREEK food. Most would not even know but we sure did and would not go there again. Many more to pick from.

Provided by YP.comAfter eating a delicious order of Chicken Souvlaki and fries, I wished I had saved some room for at least one of the fabulous deserts calling my name. As I walked by the window of the bakery next door taking in the endless array of obviously diet deserts (haahaa) I was so happy to see I could get a desert later by ordering it online at greekpastriesonline Great food, great atmosphere and now I can feel guilty in the convenience of my own home.
